Dr. Emma Hallas (Osteopath)
Emma is the owner and founder of San Remo Osteopathy. She is a local to San Remo with her husband and three young children. She has sold and packed up from the Mornington Peninsula where she had a successful practice.
Growing up in the area and frequenting San Remo, she is very excited to have set up her new Osteo clinic not far from the bridge after nearly 16 years in practice.
She completed her Osteopathic Bachelor and Masters degrees at Victoria University in 2009.
Emma enjoys playing netball, tennis and golf. She is also a qualified secondary school science teacher. She has always had a strong connection with sport and sport related injuries and during her time in Cairns, she worked with players of the NBL Cairns Taipans and the QRL Northern Pride.
She enjoys treating a wide and varied range of complaints but is particularly interested in lower back pain, headaches, and pregnancy related problems. Emma has seen first hand the successful results that pregnant and post-natal women get from osteopathic care, and now a mother herself, takes a keen interest in helping patients through this important and special time.
Emma has completed training in Orofacial Myology and also has a passion for treating infants for a range of conditions including feeding issues, tongue ties, reflux and irritability.
Emma treats people of all ages and is qualified in Dry Needling Techniques.
Dr. Rachel Yanovsky (Osteopath)
Rachel started her career in allied health working as receptionist for an optometrist for over a decade- in this time it inspired her to find a career pathway that allowed her to practice holistic healthcare leading her to osteopathy and graduating from Victoria University in 2021.
Rachel enjoys treating a variety of health conditions but has a keen interest in sport injuries, headaches, women's health & injury rehabilitation. Treating all ages Rachel is further qualified in level 1 & 2 Dry Needling Techniques, Post Breast Cancer osteopathic manual therapy, Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT) treatments and is a published author in the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine.
Outside of working you can find Rachel in the gym, spending time with family & friends or cooking up something new!
Dr. Brittany Holub (Osteopath)
Brittany’s interest in osteopathy began in her younger years from competitive horse riding and the many aches and pains that came with it. Through this and her passion of helping people achieve their best in life, she was drawn to the holistic approach that osteopathy encompasses.
Brittany treats clients of varying ages and complaints, although she has an interest in women’s and pelvic health. Brittany completed her masters project on the effectiveness of osteopathic treatment for pre-natal patients and this information has been useful in her practice.
Prior to Osteopathy, Brittany completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Exercise science which has provided her with extensive knowledge that can be incorporated into management plans. Her consults focus on the multiple aspects of health and how the interplay between each can impact one’s well-being.
Aside from Osteopathy, Brittany enjoys keeping active through running, swimming and walking with friends. She has decided to move back to Phillip Island part time after growing up here and enjoy the many beauties the island has to offer.
Dr. Simone Hussey (Osteopath)
Simone has recently graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). Simone has now returned home to Gippsland after living in Melbourne while completing her studies.
Simone's passion for osteopathy began in high school after visiting an osteopath and realising it was the perfect career path to help others and improve their quality of life. She has completed additional training in dry needling, enhancing her ability to provide care to her patients.
Simone practices with a holistic approach, considering the interconnectedness between physical, mental, and social factors in patient health. She has a particular interest in treating the neck, upper and lower back pain and working with older patients, including those with joint pain and stiffness. Simone finds great reward in forming meaningful connections with her patients, recognising the importance of empathy, and understanding in the healing process.
Outside of work, Simone enjoys pilates, going to the beach, exploring new cafes, and spending time with friends.
Dr. Nathan Wright (Osteopath)
Nathan is a dedicated Osteopath and a passionate advocate for holistic health, holding a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Health Science (Osteopathy). Drawing on his extensive experience in exercise and rehabilitation, he aims to empower patients to restore mobility, enhance performance, and achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle.
With a background in soccer and professional wrestling, Nathan understands the demands that both sport and daily life can place on the body. This experience guides his approach to helping patients recover from injuries, manage ongoing pain, and improve their overall movement and function, ensuring care is tailored to each individual’s needs.
Nathan combines hands-on osteopathic techniques, including spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation, and dry needling, with gentle methods such as biodynamics and cranial osteopathy. His tailored approach creates an environment that facilitates healing, alleviates pain, and improves overall function.
Outside the clinic, Nathan’s interests in cars, bikes, and motorsport reflect his dedication to resilience, precision, and continuous improvement—qualities he brings to every aspect of his patient care.
